This policy explains the information ReelSpeak processes to provide language-learning features, account services and payments. Different features involve different data and providers.
1. Account and device information
We process account details such as email, name, avatar and sign-in provider identifiers. Google sign-in uses Google’s authentication service. Email verification messages are delivered through Aliyun DirectMail. Cookies and session information help maintain sign-in and protect accounts.
Your browser stores preferences and device, session and anonymous identifiers locally. It may also store saved lesson media and metadata on your device. Clearing browser data can remove that local content and your preferences.
2. Learning, content and payment data
Server-side account records include saved sentences and vocabulary, learning progress, Credits balances, payment references and amounts, and usage records. We process submitted text, images, audio and video-derived audio as needed for the feature you choose. Payment providers process payment information under their own policies; ReelSpeak keeps the records needed to link and fulfil a purchase.
3. Cloud storage and sharing
When you use configured cloud features, course text, audio and covers can be stored in private cloud storage, including Cloudflare R2. A course share link exposes the course data included in that share to recipients. Revoke links and remove cloud content through the available controls. Revocation cannot erase copies that recipients have already downloaded or saved, and deletion may not immediately remove every backup or stored copy.
4. Service providers and international processing
Configured external AI and speech providers receive the relevant content needed for transcription, translation, image understanding, speech generation or other requested features. We also use providers for authentication, email, hosting, storage and displayed payment methods. Which provider processes content depends on the feature and configuration. Processing may take place outside your country.
5. Analytics and optional reminders
We collect feature, device, platform, language, session, processing-outcome and billing analytics to understand service use and improve reliability. Anonymous identifiers may be linked to an account when you sign in. If you opt in to configured reminders, we store a push subscription and reminder preferences. You can turn reminders off in settings or revoke notification permission in your browser.
6. Retention, requests and security
We retain information as needed to operate the service, protect security, maintain accounting records and meet legal obligations. Retention varies by data and purpose. Removing local lessons or clearing browser data does not erase server-side account or payment records. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of account data; we will assess the request and explain any records that must be retained.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but cannot guarantee absolute security. We update this policy as practices change and show the updated date on this page.
